TSIA 2.0 Testing
The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board has ruled that high school graduates may demonstrate college readiness for reading, writing, and math in ONE of the following three ways:
The TSIA 2.0 test is an entrance exam that all students must take or have exemption status for each subject including English/Language Arts and Math for any college or university. Students will have the opportunity to take the TSIA 2.0 on campus on a specific date; otherwise, they will contact the testing office at their chosen college to set up a testing session.
If you did not meet college readiness standards by receiving a staar or ACT/SAT exemption, your college will require you to take the texas success initiative (tsia 2.0) to ensure that you have the skills to successfully complete college course work.
Texas Success Initiative (TSIA 2.0)
- ELAR: 945 or greater on the Reading Comprehension & 5 or 6 on the WritingPlacer
- Math: 950
TSIA 2.0 Testing can be done on campus!!
